A recent publication @Scientific Reports revealed the antennal responses of mosquitoes infected with Plasmodium to human volatile compounds and reported that mosquitoes infected with Plasmodium show alterations in sensitivity to different compounds, suggesting that the effect of Plasmodium infection on mosquitoes is species-specific https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-019-40074-y.pdf

The second BLiSc #Science Café-NE chapter organised successfully at Guwahati Assam. Over 50 participants actively participated in the event. Three distinguished scientists i.e., Dr Narayan Sharma, Prof. N.C. Talukdar and Dr. Shannon Olsson delivered enlightening talks on biodiversity conservation, medicinal plants and chemical ecology of the Northeast.
